The following guidelines apply to content on WBUR’s website that is commissioned by underwriters and created in collaboration with WBUR’s underwriting team (“Underwriter Content” or “Sponsored Content”).
Only those underwriters that underwrite on-air are eligible to participate in the Underwriter Content program. Find out how to become a WBUR underwriter.
Digital Underwriting Sponsored Content must be clearly distinguishable from editorial content. This content will be labeled as “From Our Underwriter” or “Sponsored Content.”
WBUR will not allow any relationship with an underwriter to compromise WBUR’s editorial integrity.
Underwriters are responsible for ensuring that Underwriter Content is adequately substantiated and complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Underwriter Content does not reflect the views and choices of WBUR or its editors or reporters.
WBUR will ensure the treatment and design of Underwriter Content is clearly differentiated from its editorial content.
WBUR may at any time reject or remove any Underwriter Content that contains false, deceptive, potentially misleading, or illegal content or is inconsistent with or may tend to bring disparagement, harm to reputation, or other damage to WBUR’s brand.
